Fashion magazines calls her Sweden’s new IT girl, and her sparkling upbeat slow-pop is already getting her recognition as a future wonder on the rise. Her music is just as right being on top of the world on the dance floor, as when you’ve gotten your heart broken on an after party.
Gina-Lee’s solo career begun on a wild after party in a penthouse by Odenplan in Stockholm. She had just met her boyfriend David who had recorded a beat to impress her. They started jamming, Gina-Lee wrote down the lyrics on a receipt and then her debut single Dramaten was born.
Her music’s high dosis of body and soul sets her up front in the new wave of Swedish club music. Equally influenced by radio hits, Enya and David Bowie and by trusting the instinct of what makes good songs awesome, she’s created a sound that will set both dance floors and hearts in motion.
