In a parallel universe, snooze is the new day time job, escapism is the new reality and Esther Vallée is the soundtrack to your dreams. With hazy eyes and weed-filled clouds, her goldplated bedroom R&B was handpicked for the French compilation Records Collection as one of the biggest exclamation marks of 2017.
It didn’t take long ’til she got the attention from international tastemakers such as Clash Magazine and Popjustice who, just like Records Collection and Spotify, saw a new pop star from Sweden being born.
Before 2016 was over, her first two singles, ”Hard time” and ”Your name” had spun together over a million listens. The latest track ”Your Name” shows that artists like Tove Lo, Dua Lipa and Charli XCX should watch their back.
Her third single was released on Woah Dad! 2017, a song about love that falls apart and to be dumped. ”Crush” was released on March 17.
